HackQuest and Open Campus Launch EDU Chain and OCID Learning Tracks to Scale Up Web3 Education

HackQuest, the one-stop Web3 developer education platform, has partnered with Open Campus to unveil two learning tracks—the EDU Chain Learning Track and the OCID Learning Track . These initiatives are designed to empower developers and learners with cutting-edge skills and tools to thrive in the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape.

This initiative provides learners with tools to "Learn, Own, and Earn," advancing Web3 adoption in the education sector. HackQuest, as a core contributor to EDU Chain, is dedicated to onboard 30 million developers and founders to Web3 while driving developer community growth and ecosystem expansion. The EDU Chain Learning Track offers an in-depth exploration of one of crypto’s most dynamic ecosystems, already achieving over 70 million testnet transactions, 850,000+ OCIDs registered, and 100+ OC Alliance companies. The learning track offers participants a comprehensive introduction to the EDU Chain ecosystem. It begins with foundational EDU Chain concepts and progressively delves into the basic syntax of Solidity programming. Through guided projects, participants will develop skills such as creating upgradable certificates of learning, designing on-chain drift bottles, and more, all within the EDU Chain framework. Each project can be deployed on EDU Chain, providing hands-on experience and practical exposure to the ecosystem.

Graduates will earn on-chain certificates co-issued by HackQuest and the Open Campus Foundation, gaining practical expertise and valuable credentials within EDU Chain’s ecosystem.

To further empower developers and founders, EDU Chain offers robust resources, including the $1M Hackathon Series, a milestone-driven 12-week OC Incubator program, and a $20M Developer Ecosystem Fund. Open Campus offers a comprehensive ecosystem for developing digital education initiatives, centered around its decentralized identity solution called OCID (Open Campus ID). This identity framework supports two key programs: the Open Campus Incubator (OC-I) and the Open Campus Accelerator (OC-X).

The Open Campus Incubator (OC-I) is a 12-week remote program that focuses on nurturing high-impact developers and hackathon winners who are building projects on the EDU Chain. Complementing this, the Open Campus Accelerator (OC-X) is a focused 6-week program dedicated to advancing the development of verifiable credentials. The OC-X program aims to cultivate responsible digital citizens who are well-versed in frontier technologies.

Together, these programs leverage the OCID framework to create a robust educational technology ecosystem that combines technical development with digital citizenship.

Using Soulbound Tokens (SBTs) and Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), OCID allows learners to manage their academic records and personal data while sharing credentials securely across platforms through Verifiable Credentials (VCs). The OCID Learning Track aims to help incubator and accelerator projects understand OCID and integrate OCID Connect into their applications effectively.

This learning track provides an introduction to decentralized identity concepts, reputation systems, and educational data sovereignty. Participants will explore DID, VC, OCID Connect Integration, and evolving identity standards, building both foundational knowledge and practical skills in digital identity management. Upon completion, learners receive the “Certified OCID Concepts Learner” Level 1 certificate, co-issued by HackQuest and Open Campus as an on-chain Soulbound Token.

The track supports learners at different levels and includes features like a personal dashboard, learning milestones, and optional cohort-based camps to encourage collaboration. By equipping developers and founders with the tools to integrate OCID Connect, this initiative supports the broader ecosystem of OCI and OCX companies and advances decentralized education infrastructure.
