Description

Create, Iterate, and Innovate!

Every month, Linea will host a mini, online buildathon to celebrate and reward continuous hacking! For October and November Dev Cook-off, we will have a 10,000 USD pool prize distributed to qualified projects.

You can create a new project, iterate on an ongoing one, or revive and refresh that old side project you've been wanting to get back to.

That means you don't need to start from scratch! The only requirement is that you're building with Linea, made progress on your project in the current month, and you've posted about your project on social (and included a frog somewhere)!

This is a great opportunity to win some small prizes alongside your regular building, improve on past hackathon projects, and get exposure to the Linea team and community!

Literally, win cool prizes for just shipping.

General Track

We'll be distributing $5000 amongst the top qualified projects. This can take the form of two outstanding projects receiving $2500 each, 10 projects receiving $500 each, or, in the case that no submissions meet our quality bar, no prize money being distributed for that month.

General Track

Judging Criteria

To qualify for rewards, please ensure the project is deployed on Linea. If you build sth. using Hemera/Verax then you would qualify for both Linea general track and Hemera track. If you build sth. else but still deployed on Linea like a frog-themed crowdfunding dapp then you would qualify only for Linea general track.

  • Functionality and technicality - How complete and complex is the project?
  • Really great UX - How easy is it for a new user to navigate or how easy it is to follow the tutorial?
  • Originality - How original and innovative is the project? Is it pushing the boundaries of on-chain use cases?
  • Goshdarnit this is cool - A catch-all vibe check for projects that are simply fun to interact with
  • Verax/Hemera Bounty

    Theme 2: SocialFi

    Theme 3: DeFi

    Theme 4: GameFi

    Theme 5: DiD (Decentralized Identity)

    1. Linea Ecosystem Data Analytics App/Dashboard

Participants can create innovative dashboards that integrate Hemera’s ACI (Account-Centric Indexing) within the Linea ecosystem for engagement analysis. Using Hemera's powerful data infrastructure and APIs, the dashboards should provide comprehensive insights into user activity across various projects on the Linea blockchain.

The analytics dashboards may showcase on-chain activity patterns, user distribution, and provide deeper analysis of project-specific engagement metrics, offering valuable insights into user behavior across the ecosystem.

    2. SocialFi

Build a cross-platform engagement tracker that aggregates user interactions across multiple decentralized social DApps on Linea, providing comprehensive user activity insights.

    Examples:

  • Cross-platform engagement tracker: Aggregates user interactions across multiple social platforms on Linea.
  • Decentralized content recommendation engine: Suggests content based on user preferences and behavior across Linea's social dApps.

  • 3. DeFi

Create a decentralized lending and borrowing dashboard that uses Hemera’s UDFs to calculate real-time interest rates and liquidity metrics across various DeFi protocols.

    Examples:

  • Cross-Protocol Liquidity Tracker: Aggregates and visualizes liquidity across multiple DeFi protocols on Linea, enabling users to track total positions, TVL, and yield farming rewards in real time.
  • Decentralized Lending & Borrowing Dashboard: Monitors real-time interest rates and liquidity availability across lending platforms on Linea, helping users identify optimal borrowing and lending opportunities while tracking liquidation risks.

  • 4. GameFi

Develop an interoperable achievement system that tracks player accomplishments across different games on Linea, offering users a unified view of their in-game milestones.

    Examples:

  • Interoperable achievement system: Tracks and unifies player accomplishments across different games on Linea.
  • Cross-game asset utilization tracker: Monitors how players use NFTs and tokens across multiple games in the Linea ecosystem.

  • 5. DiD (Decentralized Identity)

    Examples:

  • Reputation-based access control: Manages dApp access based on users' on-chain activities and credentials on Linea.
  • Attestation-Based DID Application: Design a decentralized identity (DID) system with Hemera UDF and integrate into Verax, where users can verify their credentials on-chain to access specific dApps or exclusive content. By leveraging Hemera's data infrastructure, this system ensures that users' identity and on-chain activities are securely verified, granting access to tailored services or membership privileges.

  • BGA Award (300-500 USDT)

BGA provides a bonus Blockchain for Good Award Prize for 1-2 winning projects that meet the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This track rewards innovative projects that leverage blockchain to solve critical global challenges.

The BGA award is a bonus beyond all the tracks—developers can opt-in without extra materials or preparation.
