Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced KNX Developer / KNX Integrator to provide high‑level remote technical support for
residential and commercial automation systems. This role is ideal for someone who excels in diagnostics, ETS programming,
and customer communication, and who prefers working from a stable remote environment rather than travelling between sites.
On‑site attendance will be required only in exceptional circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver remote KNX support to customers, installers, and project teams via phone, video call, and remote access
- tools.
- Diagnose and resolve KNX network issues, configuration errors, and device faults without attending site.
- Create, modify, and optimise ETS projects, including group address structures, device parameters, and logic.
- Provide clear, structured technical guidance to electricians and integrators working on‑site.
- Produce accurate documentation, including system notes, change logs, and support reports.
- Assist with remote commissioning, system updates, and configuration reviews.
- Advise on KNX product selection, system architecture, and best‑practice installation methods.
- Escalate complex issues when physical intervention is required, ensuring smooth handover to field engineers.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands‑on experience with KNX systems and ETS5/ETS6.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot KNX issues remotely using logs, screenshots, and customer‑provided data.
- Excellent understanding of KNX topology, addressing, bus diagnostics, and IP routing.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and system schematics.
- Confident communicator who can guide non‑technical users and on‑site trades.
- Highly organised, methodical, and comfortable managing multiple support tickets.
Desirable Skills:
- KNX Partner Certification.
- Experience with related building automation protocols (DALI, Modbus, BACnet, -Loxone, Crestron, Control4).
- Familiarity with remote access tools and secure support workflows.
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, routers, gateways).
- Experience documenting systems using Visio, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
