Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using Python.
- Implement and manage Kafka-based messaging systems for real-time data ingestion, processing, and distribution.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and stream processing applications using Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, or similar technologies.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Data Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of services.
- Optimize application performance and scalability through profiling, tuning, and refactoring.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best practices in software development.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to Kafka and backend services.
Qualifications (Required Skills)
- Strong experience in Python backend development
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, or similar messaging/streaming technologies
- Knowledge of data pipelines and ETL processes
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and production monitoring
- Experience in performance optimization and scalability
