Work Arrangement: Work from Office
Location: Cebu
Schedule: Morning Shift
Job Description:
To produce accurate, timely financial information that gives the organization's leadership confidence in the numbers. The Senior Accountant owns the technical accounting function — multi-entity financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, tax compliance, job profitability analysis, and financial controls. Working closely with the on-site Accountant and GM Finance, this role serves as the analytical and compliance backbone of the finance team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financials for all entities — Company Solutions, ASLS, Team Company, and IT Companies
- Prepare consolidated financial reports across all entities
- Update the monthly board report with statistics, analysis, and commentary
- Prepare work papers for end -of-year financial review and audit
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
- Monitor and analyse monthly marketing costs
- Balance Sheet & Reconciliations
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations for all entities — GL balances checked and reconciled monthly
- Variance analysis of monthly income and expenses for all entities and all departments against the budget
- Review the balance sheet reconciliations and financials for two entities prepared by the Accountant
- Maintenance and review of the lease schedule balances at the month-end
- Maintenance and check of stock balances at the end of the month
- Cash Flow & Month -End
- Maintain and update the daily cash flow — provide support to GM Finance in its effective management
- Provide GM Finance cover during their absence
- Monitor bank balances and request transfers as necessary
- Prepare accrual journals, weekly wages journals, and all other monthly journals
- Liaise with departmental managers regarding jobs not invoiced and jobs with losses
- Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare monthly/quarterly GST returns, lodge on time, and ensure payment is made on time
- Calculate the monthly payroll tax
- Calculate the monthly Directors' interest
- Maintain Directors' loan schedules — update payments and distributions
- Job Analysis & Commissions
- Monthly job analysis to review job profitability across all departments
- Calculate and check weekly technician commissions
- Monitor ASLS project costs and check job profitability
- Fixed Assets & Registers
- Maintain fixed asset registers across all entities
- Maintain the PPSR register for assets owned by the leasing company
- Maintain the company motor vehicle register
- Accounts Payable & Team Support
- Review invoices and GL postings processed by the Accountant for accuracy
- Assist and supervise team members when necessary
- Second backup for payroll processing
- Assist the GM Finance on special assignments and daily issues as required
- Any other ad hoc tasks assigned by GM Finance
Qualification and requirements (Non-negotiable):
- CPA qualified or CA qualified
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 7+ years of experience as an accountant
- Demonstrated experience in multi-entity financial reporting
- Experience with NetSuite or a similar cloud -based accounting system (desirable)
- Experience working remotely in a structured, deadline -driven environment
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced technical accounting knowledge — financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance
- Strong analytical capability — variance analysis, job profitability, board -level reporting
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation — manages multi -entity month -end close without prompting
- Clear, professional communication — responsive and reliable when working remotely
- Advanced Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of financial laws and regulations applicable in Australia
- High integrity and transparency in all financial matters
