Business Development and Pricing Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement: Negotiate competitive freight rates with shipping lines, airlines, trucking, warehousing , customs, and international agents. Conduct supplier evaluations, form long-term vendor agreements, and align procurement with profitability goals. Onitor market trends.
• Network Development: Expand logistics partner network locally and internationally, identify new trade lanes and service opportunities, build relationships with global freight forwarders , and develop trucking and warehousing partnerships.
• Pricing and Commerial Support: Assist the sales team with competitive quotes, create pricing strategies to improve margins, analyze cost structures, identify savings, and maintain an updated freight rate database. Collaborate with operations for service feasibiity.
• Vendor and Carrier Management: Foster strong relationships with carriers and suppliers, conduct performance reviews, resolve service issues, monitor carrier KPIs and SLAs, and ensure vendor compliance with company standards.
• Strategic Planning: Recommend new logistics solutions, participate in growth and expansion planning, support procurement digitalization, and develop contingency sourcing strategies for peak seasons.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics
• Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Customs Administration, Industrial Engineering, Related field experience.
• Minimun 5 years experience in: freight forwarding, logistics procurement, carrier management, supply chain sourcing, experience in international freight and local transport preferred.
