Automation Test Engineer – Insurance Domain

Philippines (Hybrid)

6-Month Contract (Extendable)

Local Philippines only

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications
Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing scenarios
Perform API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, or similar tools
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
Execute database validation and backend testing
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and support defect resolution activities
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports
Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Scrum teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support release validation activities
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote automation best practices

Insurance Domain Experience Required

Requirements

5–8 years of experience in Software Testing with strong Automation expertise
Hands-on experience with: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright or Cypress, TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber (BDD), Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
Strong API testing experience using Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI, or Karate
Experience with SQL and database validation
Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools
Experience using Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, ALM, or similar tools
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the Insurance domain
Strong understanding of policy lifecycle, claims, underwriting, billing, and insurance compliance processes
Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar insurance platforms is a plus
