Overseas Project Operations Engineer (Financial Technology/Loan Business)

Work location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Reporting to: Director of Operations and Maintenance Project Delivery

Language requirements: Chinese+English (both working languages, mandatory)

Job Responsibilities

System deployment and microservice operation and maintenance:

Responsible for the infrastructure construction, deployment, and daily operation and maintenance of the overseas (Malaysia) loan business platform, ensuring the high availability of the core business system based on microservice architecture 24/7.

Containerization and K8s management:

Deeply involved in the containerization evolution of the system, responsible for the daily construction, configuration, scaling, and performance optimization of Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, ensuring stable business operation.

Log analysis and anomaly troubleshooting:

Build and maintain a centralized logging system (such as ELK suite), conduct daily log analysis, and quickly perform anomaly localization and troubleshooting when faults occur. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and output a retrospective report.

Database management:

Responsible for daily operation and maintenance, backup and recovery, performance tuning, slow query troubleshooting, and high availability architecture maintenance of MySQL database.

Network and hardware support:

Handle basic network configuration for overseas delivery projects (such as load balancing, firewall policies, VPC partitioning, etc.), monitor underlying hardware resources, troubleshoot basic hardware failures, and coordinate with local IDC or cloud vendors if necessary.

Cross border collaboration:

As a key technical bridge between the on-site team in Kuala Lumpur and the domestic R&D team, we accurately align requirements to ensure smooth project delivery

Job Requirements

Language proficiency (mandatory requirement):

Proficient in both Chinese and English (with written and spoken proficiency at the business/technical level), able to read English technical documents fluently, and seamlessly collaborate with Chinese R&D teams and local teams in Malaysia.

Workplace and Residence Status:

Can work permanently in Kuala Lumpur. (Local Malaysians/citizens are given priority consideration.)

Technical qualifications:

-Container Ecology: Proficient in Docker container technology, with rich practical experience in Kubernetes (K8s) production environments.

-Microservice governance: Gain a deep understanding of microservice architecture, be familiar with commonly used microservice components and API gateway configurations.

-Database: Proficient in MySQL deployment, management, and SQL query optimization.

-Network and Hardware: Solid foundation in computer networking (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, etc.), understanding of the underlying mechanisms of mainstream server hardware and Linux operating system.

-Monitoring alarms: Proficient in mainstream monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, with strong logical analysis capabilities and rich experience in anomaly localization.

-Industry background: Financial technology background, familiarity with Malaysian loan/credit business and local financial compliance regulations is preferred.

-Familiar with the local financial/credit ecosystem and payment gateway integration process in Malaysia.

-Have practical operational experience in global cloud platforms (AWS/Alibaba Cloud International/Huawei Cloud International).
