Finance Outreach (FO) Internship — Remote

We're hiring motivated Finance Outreach (FO) Interns for a 3-month remote program. This role sits at the intersection of finance and client communication: you'll be talking to prospects about financial concepts, so you need enough fluency to hold a credible conversation — not a trading desk résumé. If you have a quantitative background and a real interest in markets, we'll teach you the rest.

The internship is unpaid. Successful candidates receive a Completion Certificate and a Letter of Recommendation, and high performers may be considered for a full-time role.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and reach out to potential clients and leads within our target segments.
  • Communicate with prospects via email, calls, and online platforms — explaining our offering clearly and answering first-line questions.
  • Support the preparation of outreach materials, one-pagers, and simple financial illustrations.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and sector research to sharpen targeting and messaging.
  • Maintain lead records and CRM updates; track outreach activity and outcomes.
  • Follow up with prospects and help move leads through the pipeline.
  • Coordinate with the marketing and operations teams to support sales activity.

Requirements

Finance knowledge — working familiarity is enough. You don't need professional experience, certifications, or deal exposure. We're looking for people who understand the concepts well enough to discuss them confidently and are willing to go deeper:

  • Derivatives fundamentals: options and futures, and what drives their value (strike, expiry, volatility, and the basic Greeks at a conceptual level).
  • Options income and hedging strategies: covered calls, cash-secured puts, protective puts, and collars.
  • Real estate investment analysis: NOI, cap rates, cash-on-cash return, IRR, and reading a basic pro forma.
  • Financial modelling: three-statement models, DCF valuation, and comparable company analysis (comps) in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Helpful but not required: fixed income basics (yield, duration), portfolio construction, or structured products.

Background and skills:

  • Genuine interest in finance and markets.
  • Quantitative background in a STEM field (engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, economics, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — this is the most important requirement. You'll be translating technical financial ideas into plain language for people who don't share your background.
  • Confidence in interacting with clients and prospects.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel/Sheets.
  • CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar) is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setup.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable internet connection and availability during core team hours.

What You'll Gain

  • Direct exposure to how financial products are positioned, pitched, and sold.
  • Hands-on experience in lead generation, outreach, and client handling.
  • Deeper practical understanding of derivatives strategies, real estate analysis, and financial modelling in a commercial context.
  • Professional mentorship and structured feedback.
  • Completion Certificate on successful completion.
  • Letter of Recommendation based on performance.
  • Opportunity for a full-time position based on exceptional performance.
