QA Department Manager

A. JOB AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for ensuring that all products conform to established specifications and quality standards.
- Checks and inspects products to verify compliance with approved specifications. Ensures the quality and reliability of each product produced.
- Initiates corrective actions for non-conforming materials, products, customer
complaints, and verification findings.
- Determines the appropriate disposition of non-conforming products.
- Reviews and grants final approval for inspected products, direct materials, and packaging materials.
- Qualifies inspectors, testers, special process operators, and calibration operators. Approves Certificates of Conformance.
- Prepares, reviews, and maintains the Quality Assurance Plan.
- Analyzes customer complaints and determines appropriate disposition and corrective action.
- Serves as the company's Quality & Environmental Management Representative (QEMR).
- Prepares audit plans and assigns lead auditors for internal and external quality and environmental system audits.
- Participates in Management Review Meetings.
- Communicates quality standards and requirements to the QA team, Production team, and other relevant personnel.
- Reviews client, customer, and end-user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
B. Basic Relationship / Authority
Immediate Superior: Reports directly to the President.
Immediate Subordinates: QA/QC Section Head/Manager,
QS Engineer, QA/QC Engineer, QA/QC Head, Shift OIC/Supervisor, and Inspectors.
C. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or any related Engineering course. At least ten (10) years of experience as a QA Manager in a leadframe or semiconductor manufacturing company.
D. Training/Skills Needed
Strong supervisory and managerial skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 requirements.
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 Awareness Training.
Root Cause Analysis and Failure Analysis training.
Statistical Process Control (SPC) training.
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) training.
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) training.

Knowledge of environmental legal and other requirements applicable to the organization.
