PROJECT ENGINEER

The Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supervising elevator installation projects to ensure timely completion, quality workmanship, compliance with technical specifications, and adherence to safety standards. The position works closely with management, clients, contractors, suppliers, and the technical team to ensure efficient project execution.

Responsibilities

1. Plan, schedule, and monitor elevator installation projects from preparation to completion.
2. Conduct site inspections and ocular visits to assess project requirements and site readiness.
3. Supervise and coordinate technicians and installation personnel at project sites.
4. Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed according to approved plans, specifications, and schedules.
5. Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding project requirements and concerns.
6. Review technical drawings, specifications, measurements, and other project documents.
7. Identify technical issues, delays, and installation concerns and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
8. Monitor the proper use of materials, tools, equipment, and other project resources.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable occupational safety requirements.
10. Prepare and submit daily or weekly progress reports, site inspection reports, and other project documentation.
11. Assist in testing, commissioning, inspection, and turnover of completed elevator installations.
12. Monitor project schedules and report delays, additional requirements, and other concerns to management.
13. Attend project meetings and provide updates on project status, technical issues, and accomplishments.
14. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering course, as appropriate to the position.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer is preferred for a Mechanical Engineer role, subject to applicable professional regulations.
• Experience in elevator installation, construction, project management, or site supervision is an advantage.
• Knowledge of technical drawings, project scheduling, and installation procedures.
• Good communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in preparing reports and technical documentation.
• Willing to travel to project sites as required.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with the technical team.
