AegisAI: AI-powered Web3 platform for civic governance. Citizens report issues (AI-categorized) on an immutable ledger via CARV DIDs, ensuring transparency & empowering smart, community-driven city ma
Imagine: A city where problems like potholes or overflowing bins get fixed super fast, where everything is transparent, and where your voice actually counts. That's AegisAI.
We're building a smart platform that connects citizens directly with their local government, turning frustrating complaints into clear, trackable actions.
Here's the cool stuff:
Smart AI Helper: When you report an issue (like a broken street light), our AI brain instantly reads your description and looks at your pictures. It figures out exactly what kind of problem it is (like "Public Lighting"), how urgent it is ("High Urgency!"), and then helps send it to the right city team automatically. It's like giving the city an ultra-efficient smart assistant!
The Unbreakable Record Book (Web3): Every single report you make, every time the city changes its status (like "in progress" or "fixed"), it all gets written down in a special digital notebook called a blockchain. The amazing thing? Once something is written here, no one can ever erase it or secretly change it. This means total transparency – you can always see the proof that your report was handled and how!
You Own Your Awesome Record (CARV.io): This is super important! Our platform connects with CARV.io to make sure you truly own your digital identity and all the awesome civic things you do. Every time you report a problem that gets fixed, CARV helps create a digital "stamp" confirming it's from you. This builds your "Civic Reputation Score" – it's like a verified record of your positive impact. And in the future, if your anonymous data helps the city's AI improve services, you could even get rewarded for it!
We had an intense but super productive hackathon sprint on AegisAI! We managed to build a strong, functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that clearly shows how our big ideas work. Here’s what our team accomplished: Solid Web App Foundation: We built the entire web application using Next.js for a super fast experience and Tailwind CSS to make it look clean and professional. Our Supabase backend handles all the user logins, securely saves your reports, and stores your pictures, keeping everything organized. AI's Quick Glance (Demonstrated): We set up the part where our AI brain (a smart, rule-based system for the demo) instantly analyzes new reports. When you type in a problem, the app will immediately suggest what kind of issue it is and how urgent it might be – showing you just how smart future city management can be! Seeing the Web3 Magic (Simulated, but Clear!): This was a huge focus! We made sure you can easily connect your digital wallet (MetaMask), which is step one for Web3. We actually deployed a core contract to a test blockchain (the Polygon Amoy Testnet). Then, for every important action (like submitting a new problem or seeing it get updated), the app shows you what looks like a real blockchain transaction ID and a CARV.io Attestation ID. Even though these are just "mock" IDs for the hackathon, they powerfully demonstrate exactly where and how your report's transparency and ownership would be proven on the blockchain via CARV. Live for Everyone: We successfully put our entire AegisAI app online using Vercel, so it's ready for anyone to test and see in action right now!
AegisAI is currently a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), passionately developed by our team during this hackathon to demonstrate the transformative potential of AI and Web3 in public governance. At this initial stage, we are focused on validating our core concept and gathering feedback. However, we envision AegisAI evolving into a full-scale public utility, and as such, we plan to pursue a multi-faceted fundraising strategy: Web3 Ecosystem Grants: We will explore grants from prominent blockchain foundations and DAOs (e.g., Polygon, initiatives supporting public goods on Web3) that align with our decentralized, transparent infrastructure. Early-Stage Investment: We intend to seek pre-seed or angel investment from venture capital firms and impact investors keen on GovTech, AI-driven solutions, and real-world Web3 applications. Community-Driven Funding: Ultimately, we aspire for AegisAI to be sustained through a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) treasury, ensuring community ownership and funding aligned with civic impact.
