Problem statement (what we solve)
Small agricultural cooperatives and community producers in Africa struggle with:
Lack of trustworthy provenance for produce (milk, coffee, etc.).
Lost income due to disputes about origin/quality.
Weak record-keeping and low consumer trust.
No low-cost transparent verification for local marketplaces.
Solution: a simple, low-cost blockchain prototype that lets cooperatives create tamper-evident batch records, record quality checkpoints (e.g., collection, cooling, transport, processing), transfer custody among participants, and let consumers/market inspectors verify the batch history via an easy web interface and QR codes.
