We all make promises to ourselves and then break them. CommitX makes those promises harder to ignore by putting real money behind them. Users stake ETH on a goal, and if they complete it, they get their stake back and a share of the pool from those who didn't.

Description

CommitX is a decentralized accountability platform that puts real money behind personal goals. Users create commitments, stake ETH on Arbitrum Sepolia, and submit proof of completion. Successful participants recover their stake and receive a share of the stakes from participants who fail.

CommitX combines smart contracts, AI-powered proof verification, and automated integrations to make accountability verifiable rather than based on trust. Proofs can be evaluated using Gemini 2.5 Flash, while integrations with GitHub, Todoist, Google Fit, and Notion can automatically verify goal completion.

If everyone fails a challenge, the pooled funds are routed to a designated charity wallet through the smart contract.

Progress During Hackathon

Built the core CommitX accountability flow from commitment creation to staking and challenge resolution. Implemented: * ETH staking through a Solidity smart contract on Arbitrum Sepolia * Wallet authentication using Sign-In With Ethereum * AI-powered proof verification using Gemini 2.5 Flash * Automated verification through GitHub, Todoist, Google Fit, and Notion integrations * Challenge resolution and reward distribution through the smart contract * Charity fallback when no participant successfully completes a challenge * Backend APIs, authentication, encrypted OAuth credentials, and authorization checks * Responsive frontend for creating and discovering accountability challenges
