Description
Project Overview
CraftLearn is a Web3-powered e-learning and certification platform built on the Edu Chain ecosystem. It is designed to empower artisans, and creatives individuals across Africa with access to vocational, digital and basic web3 skills. CraftLearn bridges the gap between informal skills acquisition and globally verifiable credentials by offering structured learning paths, blockchain-based skill validation, and shareable NFT certificates.
Core Features
1. User Registration with Open Campus ID
Each learner is assigned a unique decentralized learner ID, stored on-chain for lifetime access and identity management.
2. Learning Dashboard
An intuitive dashboard tracks learner progress across courses, modules, and learning categories.
3. Three Core Learning Tracks
● Practical Artisan Skills: Tailoring, shoemaking, hairdressing, creative arts, and more.
● Web3 & Digital Finance: Blockchain basics, crypto wallets, DeFi for SMEs etc.
● Digital Branding & Business Skills: Marketing, freelancing, personal branding, and financial literacy.
4. Skill Assessment System
Includes interactive quizzes, video-based submissions, reviews to verify practical learning outcomes.
5. NFT Credential System
Successful learners earn NFT-based certificates minted on Edu Chai, tamper-proof and shareable as proof of expertise.
How It Works
1. Learners sign up using their wallet and receive a decentralized learner ID (OCID).
2. They choose a learning track and access free foundational courses.
3. As they progress, learners complete assessments (quizzes, tasks, videos).
4. Upon completion, NFT credentials are issued and stored on-chain.
5. Verified learners can use these NFT certificates to apply for jobs, gigs, or training programs. Employers and clients can easily verify their credentials and skill history directly on the CraftLearn platform, ensuring trust and transparency.
User Acquisition Strategies
1. Freemium Model: Offer free foundational content to attract mass adoption.
2. Community Building: Engage learners and artisans via WhatsApp/Telegram groups, Twitter Spaces, and live sessions.
3. Partnerships with NGOs & Institutions: Collaborate with vocational centers, Web3 DAOs, NGOs, and government programs for bulk onboarding and sponsorships.
4. Campus & Local Hub Ambassadors: Peer-led learning models and local ambassadors to drive grassroots awareness and onboarding.
5. Incentivized Learning & Referrals: Introduce completion rewards, milestone badges, and referral bonuses to encourage user engagement and virality.
