Description
CredProof is a decentralized credential verification and reputation infrastructure designed for the new era of trustless, borderless, and tamper-proof identity. It enables individuals to securely verify and showcase their academic achievements, professional certifications, work experience, or community contributions—without relying on centralized institutions.
At its core, CredProof leverages blockchain technology and zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) to ensure that verifications are both provable and privacy-preserving. Users can store and share credentials that are cryptographically signed by issuers and validated on-chain, giving verifiable proof of merit without exposing sensitive details. Employers, DAOs, educators, and platforms can instantly validate a credential’s authenticity without manual checks, reducing fraud and bias.
CredProof also integrates reputation scoring, enabling contributors to build an immutable, interoperable reputation profile across Web3 platforms. Whether it’s completing a course, contributing to an open-source project, or gaining recognition in a DAO—every verified achievement becomes a badge of honor in the CredProof ecosystem.
With decentralized governance, modular identity standards (like ERC-7231), and cross-chain compatibility, CredProof empowers a future where trust is earned, verified, and owned by individuals—not gatekeepers.
Progress During Hackathon
During the hackathon, we began with deep research into decentralized identity frameworks and credentialing protocols. We mapped out the architecture for CredProof, focusing on trustless verification, privacy, and interoperability. In the first phase, we built and deployed smart contracts to issue, store, and verify credentials using ERC-7231 and signature-based attestations. We implemented zero-knowledge proof logic to ensure privacy-preserving validation. On the frontend, we developed a clean React-based dashboard where users can claim credentials, view proof hashes, and share verifiable profiles via wallet login. We also integrated role-based issuer verification and dynamic reputation scoring tied to verified credentials. Midway through the hackathon, we completed end-to-end testing of credential issuance and verification flows on a testnet. By the final day, CredProof supported credential minting, validation, sharing, and public profile generation—marking the transition from idea to a working, demo-ready product solving real-world identity problems.
