Description
Overview
DaVinci is an engineering software company, poised to enter the Bittensor ecosystem in order to create SOTA intelligence for global engineering applications. With deep industry expertise and access, the business of DaVinci will scale immensely with access to the embedded R&D capabilities that comes with Subnet ownership.
THE PROBLEM: The $1.14 Trillion Analog Bottleneck (SAM)
The Global Engineering Services market is projected to reach $1.14 Trillion in 2025, yet the sector’s data processing workflows remain archaic.
The Case Study: Bridge Deck Maintenance.
According to the 2025 ARTBA Bridge Report, 220,295 U.S. bridges (36% of the national inventory) need repair, creating a backlog estimated at $467 Billion.
The Data: Engineering firms scan these bridges using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), generating terabytes of proprietary .DZT files (high-dimensional radar reflections).
The Failure Point: Interpretation is manual. Experts must visually inspect heatmaps and "click" thousands of times to annotate rebar locations.
The Cost: This manual workflow creates a 2-4 week latency on inspection reports generated by high cost engineering teams, stalling critical repairs and inflating costs for government contractors.
THE SOLUTION: The DaVinci Subnet
DaVinci is the industrial engineering R&D engine built on Bittensor. We are not building a chatbot; we are building an automated inference engine for physical and scientific infrastructure.
Flagship Utility: An automated GPR-to-Schematic processor. The subnet incentivizes miners to train models that interpret raw radar wave travel times and output expert-level .DZX annotations.
Performance: Due to the precedent of incentivization talent on Bittensor, DaVinci bridge processing will outperform a 98% accuracy baseline established by human experts.
Outcome: Reduces reporting turnaround from 14 days to <1 hour, enabling DaVinci to capture market share of maintenance backlogs instantly.
THE TEAM
We combine deep industrial access with proven Bittensor operational capability.
Core Team: Chris Romano (CEO), Thaksheel Alleck (CTO), Olivia Romano (CSO - Sales), and 2 subnet developers.
Advisory Board:
Joseph Romano (Civil Engineer): 30+ years of field experience.
Seby Rubino & The RESI Team (SN46): Providing capital strategy, validator infrastructure, and griwth guidance
BTLabs: Technical Architecture.
Progress During Hackathon
We have created a model competition on testnet as well as aligned with Bittensor investors.
Miners submit models to huggingface and validators judge with 3rd party data that is generated after model submissions are closed.
Fundraising Status
We are bootstapped and have been in discussions with Bittensor Hedge Funds in order to secure a subnet slot. As for raising capital against equity, we will only explore this route once we have reached SOTA and our service LOIs are able to come to fruition.
