Description

EventChain is a Defi protocol that introduces on-chain collateral and escrow mechanisms for event payments. Ticket funds are locked in smart contracts and only released when predefined event conditions are met, ensuring trustless settlement between event organizers and attendees.

By applying Defi collateral strategies, EventChain removes the need for centralized intermediaries, reduces fraud and enables transparent, programmable event finance using stablecoins. The protocol is designed to be simple, secure and composable making it suitable for integration with existing Defi and payment ecosystems.

Progress During Hackathon

During the hackathon, we aim to design and implement the core EventChain smart contracts that handle ticket payment collateralization and escrow logic. This includes enabling users to lock ticket funds on-chain, defining event settlement conditions, and allowing organizers or attendees to withdraw or receive refunds based on those conditions. We will also build a minimal frontend or interaction script to demonstrate the end-to-end flow, from ticket purchase to fund release, and focus on clarity, security, and usability rather than feature complexity.
