Givtru is a decentralized donation platform powered by multi-signature smart contracts. It enables direct, secure philanthropic giving while eliminating misuse through consensus-driven fund disbursement, ensuring donor capital is released only when verified by multiple parties.
GivTru is a decentralized charity donation tracker built on Ethereum, designed to bring full transparency to how donations are collected and used. Every donation, campaign, and fund withdrawal is recorded on-chain, so donors can verify exactly where their money goes instead of relying on trust alone. The platform also incorporates multi-signature governance for fund withdrawals.
Problems with existing platforms that I solve:
1. No withdrawal governance
Existing platforms allow campaigners to withdraw funds freely with no mandatory approval mechanism. A bad actor can raise funds and withdraw everything immediately. Givtru requires 2/3 board trustee approval before any withdrawal is enforced by smart contract, not by a company.
2. No donor refund mechanism
If a campaign fails to meet its goal, donors on most platforms lose their money or must request manual refunds from a company. Givtru implements a claim refund logic, when deadline passes and goal isn't met, donors pull their money back directly from the contract. No company involvement, no waiting.
3. Funds held by centralized entities
Traditional platforms hold donor funds in their own bank accounts, they can freeze, delay, or misuse funds. In Givtru, funds never touch any company wallet. They go directly from donor to smart contract and stay locked there until board approval. Not even Givtru can touch them.
4. Zero on-chain transparency (all existing platforms)
Donors can see transactions but cannot verify the governance process like who approved what, when, and why. Givtru records every vote, every approval, and every fund release permanently on Arbitrum. Any donor can open Arbiscan and verify the complete audit trail in real time.
Flaws and Future implementation to improve more on this project:
Scammer adds fake board members then it can be a problem so we have to add verified trustees
Milestone Based release: Instead of one big withdrawl campaigner will set milestone when creating campaigns
StableCoin (USDC support) implementation : currently it receives donations in token , and tokens are volatile , let's say the goal is to get 10000$ which is roughly 4-5 eth but in future the prices can fluctuate so it is possible for the campaigner to recieve less or more money depending upon the price fluctuation.
Currently I have implemented manual claim-refund logic , Automatic refund logic needs to be implemented
