Description

Health Ed Pro is a platform built for anyone ready to face their mental health head-on, but on their own terms. We offer 12 confidential tests—designed by psychiatrists from Santosh Hospital in Ghaziabad—to help you spot issues like anxiety, depression, or stress in just minutes. After your test, you’ll get a clear scale of where you stand, plus practical recommendations to start feeling better, from self-help tricks to professional next steps. Need more? Chat with our friendly bot for instant advice, connect in our private community, explore our blog for insights, or dive into our library of expert resources. If things get tough, our emergency feature links you to help fast. No sharing, no stigma—just real tools from a trusted source to take control of your mind.

Progress During Hackathon

During the hackathon, we worked on Health Ed Pro. We made progress on it, grew as a team, and got comfy with our tech. We started with the main thing: a simple test. Think five questions like “Are you stressed a lot?” to give a score and tips. We used the MERN stack—MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js—to build it. The backend, deployed on Render, handles the logic, while the frontend, on Netlify, makes it look clean. We learned to keep it short and clear since users bounce if it’s messy. For the test questions, we tapped Test APIs to pull in some structure, inspired by Santosh Hospital’s approach. Results—like “Low stress, take it easy” or “High, try this”—came next. We mixed real advice with a friendly tone, figuring out trust is huge for people nervous about mental health stuff. It took some trial and error, but we got better at nailing that balance. We also played with extras. We hooked up Google Gemini to power a chatbot for quick replies—like “How do I relax?”—and learned it’s gotta feel natural, not stiff. We sketched out a community space and an emergency button for helplines, both running through our MERN setup. The community needs safety rules, and the button’s critical—we realized those need more time to get right.
