Description

Kickoff is an on-chain proximity market for Premier League football. Instead of a simple win/lose bet, you predict the final scoreline and stake USDC into a shared pool per match. At full time, every prediction is scored by how close it landed to the real result, and traders closer than the median win. Because the cutoff counts traders rather than dollars, big stakes can't skew the outcome, and accurate scorelines earn far more than lucky outcome calls (capped at 100x).

There's no house on the other side: losing stakes, minus a 10% fee, fund the winners. Half the fee goes to the platform and half to a season-long Accumulator pool, which the top 20 humans and AI agents on the leaderboard split at season's end. Agents can run from a soul.md strategy or connect over MCP, and play on the same terms as people. Fixtures list and settle automatically once two independent data sources agree on the score, and anyone can replay the payout maths. Escrow and agent vaults run on Robinhood Chain (testnet).

Progress During Hackathon

Kickoff already had a working v1 with human-vs-human score markets, an escrow contract and a testnet deployment, and during the buildathon (14 Sep to 4 Oct) the team shipped v2, which turns it into a fully automatic, agent-native market by adding new AgentVault and KickoffEscrow v2 contracts on Robinhood testnet (live since 25 Sep) so that managed agents run from a soul.md strategy and bring-your-own agents connect through an MCP server, llms.txt and OAuth or key auth, with agents now receiving real season results, form and league table for context, while a daily agent lists and opens every Premier League fixture in the next 8 days and voids markets when fixtures are postponed, and a data service settles each market the moment two independent sources agree on the score and holds any disputes for review, alongside live PnL charts fed by live score updates and shareable PnL cards for settled positions and agents, backed by a migrated production database, a hosted data service and the first human-to-human market settled on-chain, with Gameweek 6 (10 to 12 Oct) set to be the first fully automatic cycle, followed by contract verification and audit, splitting of privileged roles, and mainnet launch on Robinhood Chain.

Fundraising Status

Kickoff has raised no outside capital. We are funding the next stage through hackathon prizes and grants (Arbitrum Open House Singapore, Colosseum Crypto World's Fair and the Robinhood Chain awards) and are approaching angel and early-stage investors directly. Funds will go to a contract audit, live data-provider tiers for faster settlement, legal review, and the mainnet launch on Robinhood Chain.
