Agent-native content licensing on X Layer: an agent pays 0.10 USDT via x402 and gets the artwork plus a signed machine-checkable usage scope; any agent can verify PERMITTED/NOT_PERMITTED before use.

A file is not permission. An agent can download an image — using it is a different question. LICENSE402 is an agent-native content licensing ASP (OKX.AI Agent #5089) on X Layer: an agent pays 0.10 USDT via the x402 payment protocol and receives the artwork plus a signed, machine-checkable License Credential. Any downstream agent can verify what it may do — publish, train on, resell — and gets a deterministic PERMITTED / NOT_PERMITTED / INVALID answer before acting.
How it works: a buyer gets a quote with the exact signed offer (price, scope, legal-text hash), signs an EIP-712 PurchaseIntent binding every term, then settles 0.10 USDT via x402 (EIP-3009, gasless for the buyer) on X Layer mainnet or testnet. OKX.AI marketplace agents use the direct mode instead: one paid POST, where the 402 response discloses the exact asset before payment. The creator is paid 0.07 USDT automatically on-chain per sale, with a double-pay-impossible payout state machine (pinned nonces, semantic receipt verification, explicit reconciliation).
Everything is real and auditable: real mainnet purchases (credential v2, domain v2), real creator payouts, immutable content-addressed assets and signed offer history, and 5 public proof bundles that verify offline (signatures, digests, commitments) AND on-chain (exact Transfer semantics). 91 automated tests. Try it live: interactive signed sample with no wallet, or run the full loop free on X Layer testnet with the built-in faucet.
Built end-to-end during this hackathon (solo + AI pair): deterministic licensing kernel (EIP-712 offers/intents, policy AST, credential issuance) with 91 tests; live x402 integration on X Layer mainnet + testnet via the official OKX facilitator; OKX.AI ASP registration (Agent #5089, A2MCP direct mode where the 402 discloses the exact asset before payment); automatic on-chain creator payouts with a double-pay-impossible state machine and machine-verified reconciliation; immutable signed-material history (content-addressed assets, offer versions, legal texts); 5 public proof bundles verifiable offline and on-chain; Proof Studio web app (interactive signed sample, dual-rail checkout, license passport, permission lens, public receipts). Real mainnet revenue: multiple self-funded production purchases + one external buyer, every settlement and payout on-chain.
