Description

Oblivion is a private cleanup agent for people who want their personal information removed from data brokers, people-search sites, and breach databases—without handing that same information to yet another company first.

Thesis

Most removal services work like this: you fill out a form with your name, email, phone, and sometimes worse (social security number, driver's license, etc.) They store it, search with it, and send it to third parties on your behalf. You are trading one data holder for another.

Oblivion flips that model. Sensitive details are encrypted in your browser before they ever reach the server. The Intel TDX backend can never be tampered with and only ever sees ciphertext and a redacted summary; enough to run the workflow, not enough to reconstruct your identity.

How it Works

From there, a TEE-secure agent walks you through the cleanup:

  1. agent finds and lists likely exposures,

  2. user confirms which listings are actually theirs,

  3. agent draft opt-out requests, check breach exposure, and finalizes search suppressions

At every step where data would leave your control, the app stops and shows an approval card—destination, what would be shared, why, and the risk. Nothing sends unless you either manually confirm or enable automatic approvals for the agent.

We wired in MetaMask Smart Accounts, x402, and the 1Shot API, to enable both one-off actions and also subscription-based payments.

Roadmap

Oblivion is also designed for the world we are heading into: agents that act on your behalf, wallets that pay for services, and AI that helps draft requests.

Beyond the consumer app, there is a partner API so VPNs, password managers, and security products can offer removal flows without becoming custodians of customer PII. California DROP guidance and GDPR letter templates are built in. We believe privacy cleanup should not require surrendering more privacy.

Progress During Hackathon

The product was created fully during the Hackathon period.

System Design

We started by thinking of a problem that can make good use of all of the sponsor tracks and turned it into a product. I landed on personal information removal which fits in with Venice's privacy standards, and can use the 1Shot API and Metamask Smart Accounts to let users pay one-off or on subscription to continually monitor and remove new personally-identifying data that comes (back) onilne.

Hackathon Demo

Oblivion is demoable in under three minutes using our cloud platform: create a case, find listings, connect wallet and pay for case management, run and approve automated checklist actions, and verify each step along the way. We also constructed a skill file so that users can turn their own ai agents into personal data removal coordinators.

Gaps

This is still beta/experimental software, so use at your own risk. Also note that approved disclosures still reach relevant third parties who may already have the user's personal information (as is that is the nature of opt-outs.)
