Description
Sling lets onchain traders take long or short positions on stocks without going through the complex process of tokenized stocks. It works like a prediction market: when you enter a position, you’re answering the question “Will this stock be up in the chosen timeframe?” Sling also gives traders an AI-powered screener that surfaces news and sentiment data to help guide decisions.
Progress During Hackathon
--> Developed a React frontend with market and stock screener pages, giving traders a complete user journey.
--> Simulated contract logic offchain with Supabase, while keeping the design compatible for direct deployment on Solana.
--> Connected a GitHub Action to the Supabase edge function for resolving the markets. For now it has to be run manually to manage free-plan limits.
--> Used devnet SOL as the trading currency for simplicity, demonstrating how real value transfer works onchain.
--> Built an AI-powered stock screener (currently static) that showcases how market sentiment and analysis can inform trading decisions.
Together, this establishes the foundation for moving from a working demo to a fully onchain Solana application with dynamic data feeds and automated resolution.
