During the hackathon, we built SolarCredits India end-to-end as a working, production-ready system, not just a concept. We designed and implemented Stylus smart contracts in Rust, deployed them on Arbitrum Sepolia, and verified on-chain minting and burning of carbon credit tokens. In parallel, we built a Rust-based AI verification backend that validates electricity bill data, detects anomalies, generates cryptographic hashes, and calculates carbon credits in under one second. We developed a complete React + TypeScript frontend with MetaMask wallet integration, manual wallet connection, network detection, real-time balance fetching, and transaction confirmation flows. Key features completed during the hackathon include: - AI-powered bill verification with confidence scoring - On-chain minting and burning of carbon credits - Producer dashboard with portfolio and impact metrics - Marketplace UI for ESG buyers - ESG credit retirement (burn) flow with blockchain proof By the end of the hackathon, the smart contract was fully deployed and tested, the backend API was live, and the frontend demonstrated the complete real-world user journey from electricity bill upload to carbon credit issuance. This project represents real development progress during the hackathon, with a functioning demo and deployed infrastructure.
SolarCredits India is currently bootstrapped, and the hackathon version demonstrates the core technical feasibility and real-world viability of the platform. To move from prototype to real-world deployment, funding is essential and necessary for: - Scaling the AI verification system to handle large volumes of electricity bills - Conducting on-ground pilot programs with solar producers - Integrating with real smart meters, utilities, and registries - Security audits of smart contracts and infrastructure - Regulatory alignment and compliance for carbon credit issuance We are actively seeking grants, ecosystem funding, and strategic investment to accelerate market entry and onboard real users. Funding will directly enable us to launch SolarCredits India in the market, scale adoption, and create measurable climate and economic impact.
