Yieldex
Unlock liquidity from future yields without selling your assets

Description
Yieldex is a marketplace where tokenized asset holders unlock upfront liquidity by selling income rights for a fixed period while retaining ownership of the underlying assets.
The problem
Some tokenized stocks reinvest dividends into the token’s value, making income difficult to access separately from the principal. Yieldex creates a market for those time-limited income rights.

How Yieldex works
Sellers lock backing tokens, choose an income percentage and duration, and receive a fixed upfront payment when a buyer purchases.
Buyers claim eligible income in the underlying token and can resell the whole remaining position. Expiry stays fixed; past claims remain with their original recipient.
The AI assistant helps discover listings, explain terms, and prepare purchase previews. Users review and sign transactions themselves; token quotes are read-only.
The prototype runs on Ethereum Sepolia with simulated assets and DemoUSD. Income is not guaranteed, and the purchase price is not refunded at expiry. Event metadata uses a constrained team-operated finalizer.

Progress During Hackathon
During the hackathon, we developed Yieldex from our team’s initial prototype into an integrated income-rights marketplace:
Implemented smart contracts for backing custody, primary purchases, whole-position resale, dividend accounting, claims, and principal release.
Deployed the contracts on Ethereum Sepolia and verified the core lifecycle with actual transactions and balance checks.
Integrated the marketplace, portfolio, wallet review flow, and an AI assistant for discovery, explanations, and read-only token quotes.
Added a finalized-event indexer, authenticated history, and automated tests. The documented README revision passed 222 TypeScript tests, 46 contract tests, and the production build.
Full browser acceptance and wallet-alert investigation remain in progress. The project uses simulated assets and has not undergone an independent production security audit.
Fundraising Status
Yieldex is a newly built hackathon project and has not received external funding.
