This project integrates AI-powered CCTV surveillance with blockchain-based tamper-proof crime reporting and investigation to enhance security and legal transparency. The AI-enabled CCTV system continuously monitors surveillance footage, detecting suspicious activities such as violence, weapon detection, and unauthorized access using computer vision models. It also features an investigation system with prompt-based video querying, allowing law enforcement to search for specific incidents using keywords like “man in red shirt with a weapon” or “suspicious activity near ATM.” Upon detecting a crime, the system automatically generates a report and triggers a smart contract on the Ethereum Sepolia testnet.
The smart contract securely stores case details, including case ID, timestamp, location, and video hash, while raw video evidence is stored in IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) to ensure tamper-proof storage. The system also includes an advanced querying mechanism, allowing law enforcement and forensic experts to retrieve case histories, analyze evidence, and add new findings. Role-based access control ensures that only authorized officials can query or modify case details.
For enhanced judicial integrity, the entire case is converted into an NFT (Non-Fungible Token) and submitted to the court as a legally verifiable case file. This system ensures transparent investigations, immutable evidence storage, and streamlined legal processes, making crime reporting resistant to tampering and corruption. By combining AI, blockchain, and decentralized storage, this project revolutionizes law enforcement and modern crime investigations.
