Inspired by the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, AlphaFoldX is committed to revolutionising the landscape of protein science through innovation, collaboration, and decentralised funding. As the first DeSci (Decentralised Science) community dedicated to supporting AI-driven protein research, AlphaFoldX empowers global participation in groundbreaking scientific endeavors, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can contribute to solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges. To complement the vision of AlphaFoldX, Prot-einDAO is established as a nonprofit scientific organization dedicated to advancing research in the field of protein structures. ProteinDAO serv-es as the governance and execution body of Alp-haFoldX’s mission, enabling researchers and the community to work collaboratively.
With AlphafoldX's main website, each token holder is endowed with an unique Alphafold predicted protein structure, presented in an interactive 3D-rendered scene. In the home page, all token holders' unique proteins are showcased as well, creating a cool user experience.
We also built a telegram bot, that is able to return the Alphafold generated protein structure in telegram.
Progress During Hackathon
We first settled on the intersection of meme and AI, since our team has strong bio-chemical background, DeSci became apparent to us, and Alphafold is a natural and innovative thing that we can harness into our project. We first thought about the project outline, the tokenomics, and finally the engineering details.
