This project demonstrates a decentralized application (DApp) that allows users to register human-readable names linked to their blockchain addresses, and then send or receive funds using these names instead of long hexadecimal wallet addresses. By simplifying transactions through name-based transfers, it removes one of the biggest usability barriers in crypto — the complexity and risk of mistyping addresses. Real-world applications of this include building a user-friendly payment system where individuals or businesses can accept crypto simply through their chosen name, creating decentralized identity systems, and integrating with wallets or e-commerce platforms to make blockchain payments as seamless as traditional digital transfers. Additionally, the ability to view transaction history, generate QR codes for easy payments, and perform forward or reverse lookups makes it highly practical for peer-to-peer payments, donations, and future Web3 services.
