SkillSwap is an innovative decentralized platform designed to help users enhance their skills through skill exchanges, while also earning token rewards. In today's world, many people are eager to learn new skills or share their expertise, but traditional skill exchange platforms often lack transparency and come with high intermediary fees. SkillSwap leverages the transparency and security of blockchain technology to address these issues by enabling peer-to-peer skill trades.
On SkillSwap, users can browse and discover others' skill offerings, selecting the best match based on reputation scores and reviews. Every successful skill exchange increases a user’s reputation and rewards them with tokens. These tokens can be redeemed for other services on the platform or used to mint unique SkillSwap NFTs, serving as a badge of achievement. As users' reputation and ratings grow, so does their visibility on the platform, making it easier for them to connect with others.
SkillSwap creates an active, mutually beneficial community, allowing users to exchange skills fairly and directly, ultimately fostering personal growth and rewarding collaboration.
Progress During Hackathon
I developed my project through following steps: 1. Planning: Set clear project goals and features. 2. Setup: Created a workspace with React and Solidity. 3. Smart Contracts: Developed contracts for swapping skills, rating, and NFT rewards. 4. Frontend: Built user interfaces for profiles, swap requests, and minting NFTs. 5. Integration: Linked frontend and contracts for swap and rating functions. 6. Testing: Ensured smooth user experience with thorough testing. 7. Final Demo: Presented a functional project highlighting core blockchain interactions.
