Description

TaoChat is a fully decentralized, end-to-end encrypted messaging protocol built as a Bittensor subnet. It transforms communication into a cryptoeconomic infrastructure layer by introducing stake-based spam resistance and alpha-powered premium routing. Users and AI agents stake α to send messages, while optional premium spending unlocks low-latency, priority delivery—creating a performance marketplace secured by economic incentives. Relay execution is enforced through TEE verification via Targon (Subnet 4), and large media files are stored through Hippius (Subnet 75), making TaoChat a composable, cross-subnet communication stack rather than just a chat application.

Beyond human messaging, TaoChat is designed as a secure transport layer for AI-agent-to-agent coordination through OpenClaw integration. It enables autonomous systems to communicate reliably under congestion, with validator-audited performance metrics and emission-backed miner rewards. By combining encrypted relay, decentralized storage, trusted execution, and alpha-driven economics, TaoChat strengthens subnet interoperability and demonstrates how Bittensor can evolve from an intelligence marketplace into a fully decentralized infrastructure ecosystem.
