RakshyaNetra is a web-based women’s safety platform that empowers users with real-time incident reporting, live safety maps, safe route planning, and instant SOS alerts. Built with Flask, MongoDB, Twilio, and Google Maps API, it creates a community-driven safety net by crowdsourcing reports and analyzing risk zones. Whether it’s navigating a city or facing an emergency, RakshyaNetra helps users make safer choices and access help instantly—all from a single, user-friendly platform.
Progreso del hackathon
Over the course of the hackathon, we successfully designed and developed the core functionalities of RakshyaNetra, our women’s safety platform. We began with wireframing and frontend setup, followed by integrating real-time features like incident reporting, live safety maps, and a safe route planner using Google Maps API. We connected a Flask backend with MongoDB Atlas for data storage and enabled SOS alerts via Twilio. By the end of the event, we had a fully functional web app deployed on Render, showcasing live reporting, smart routing, and emergency support—all built collaboratively within 48 hours.
