Description
Description
Flow is one of the fastest growing developer networks in 2025, and the number 1 choice for builders at hackathons all over the world. Forte Hacks provides an opportunity for those developers and builders to experiment with the latest upgrade to the network and build the next killer app.
From October 1-31st, this global hackathon invites hackers, creators, and Web3 developers to push the boundaries of smart contract automation, DeFi primitives, and user-centric killer applications to win a share of $250,000 in bounties and prizes.
Supported by a range of partners, like Dune, Quicknode, Moonpay, Dapper Labs, Thirdweb, Privy, Crossmint and more, the Forte Hacks hackathon has 5 core tracks - including exclusive bounties for building with partner applications.
About Flow
Flow is the best place to build killer apps, purpose-built to help builders ship faster and scale without compromise. The biggest brands and the best builders keep choosing Flow, like Disney, NFL, Ticketmaster and NBA. Flow has a unique multi-role architecture that ensures high transaction speed, near-instant finality, and MEV-resistance, enabling responsive, consumer-scale crypto applications.
What is Forte
Forte is the Flow network upgrade that brings composability and automation natively to Flow. Two new primitives, Actions and Workflows, let developers compose reusable, protocol-agnostic workflows with onchain time-based triggers. Forte lets builders get an edge with new features, like standardized DeFi actions, scheduled transactions, and onchain workflows.
Submission Criteria
The submission must be deployed on testnet and/or mainnet (include a link to the contract deployed on explorer if applicable).
Must have a README.md and state the project is built on Flow, specify testnet or mainnet, and list the deployed or used contract address(es).
Both new and existing code can be submitted.
A video demo and GitHub repository must be submitted.
A social media post showcasing or introducing the project must be submitted (i.e. X post tagging the official Flow account @flow_blockchain).
Your submission should be public on github and free for others to check
Submissions can use Solidity (EVM), Cadence or both.
Judging Criteria
Please list the criteria and corresponding weights used to evaluate projects. The total weight should add up to 100%.
Criterias | Percent | Description |
Technology | 25% | Technical quality/depth and feasibility; the degree of integration with blockchain technology (and if it makes sense or feels forced). |
Completion | 20% | Does the product work fully end-to-end. |
Originality | 10% | Breakthroughs and originality in project technology or narrative. |
User Experience | 10% | The logical flow of the project's interface and operations, along with good user experience design. |
Adoption/Practicality | 10% | The project's adaptability to real-world applications and adoption potential; whether it addresses existing industry issues, has social impact, etc. Can the team pull it off irl. |
Protocol Usage | 10% | The project's integration with the Flow ecosystem, its contribution to ecosystem complementation, and scalability within the ecosystem. |
Submission Types
In your submission when selecting bounties you are applying for, please identify your project as:
Existing Code - a project extended and integrated with Flow during the duration of the hackathon OR
Fresh Code - brand new and created from scratch
In addition to the bounties above, we will be giving daily prizes for best Building in Public posts that include ‘#ForteHacks’ and ‘@flow_blockchain’ throughout the entire month as an encouragement to share with the world what you’re cooking on!
Best Killer App on Flow [All Projects]
16,000 USDC
Best Killer App on Flow [All Projects]
Best Killer App on Flow [All Projects]
Judging Criteria
Consumer-oriented “killer apps” have the power to define and lead entire industries by solving real user pain points at scale. Think of how ChatGPT made AI accessible to hundreds of millions. Flow is designed for mass adoption and consumer-grade experiences, so we’re looking for the next breakthrough application that can capture the interest of millions (or billions!) of everyday users. This is a very broad bounty and eligible projects include everything from AI Agents and RWA to games and social apps.
Best Use of Flow Forte Actions and Workflows [All Projects]
12,000 USDC
Best Use of Flow Forte Actions and Workflows [All Projects]
Best Use of Flow Forte Actions and Workflows [All Projects]
Judging Criteria
The new Forte upgrade, live on Flow has released powerful new capabilities such as Flow Actions (FLIP-338) - a brand-new standard that turn protocol logic into self-contained, reusable onchain building blocks you can call without importing ABIs, reading contract code, or writing brittle glue scripts. Each Action is a trustless workflow with clear metadata, built-in safety checks, atomic execution, and verifiable success criteria—think standardized onchain APIs that plug together like Lego bricks. For AI agents, this means instant discovery of available protocols, safe composition of complex workflows, and full automation without off-chain keepers or servers.
Another powerful feature is Schedued Transactions which let smart contracts execute code at (or after) a chosen time without an external transaction. You schedule work now; the network executes it later. This enables recurring jobs, deferred actions, and autonomous workflows.
This bounty is calling on builders to push the boundaries by using either of these two new features, creating new connectors to major protocols, chaining cross-protocol workflows, integrating Actions into games, integrating fully onchain agents with actions, or tools that help others discover and use useful Actions and more. Whether you’re into DeFi, gaming, or novel automation, this is your chance to shape the future of composability and define how agents interact with Web3.
Best Existing Code Integration [Existing Project]

Best Existing Code Integration [Existing Project]
Best Existing Code Integration [Existing Project]
Judging Criteria
Best integrations and enhancements by existing projects onto the Flow network. This can be an existing startup, side hustle, or project that you've been working on for months. The main requirement is that the project is deployed on Flow and over the month has made some meaningful enhancement to the app's codebase. Select this bounty only if you are not starting your project from scratch during the hackathon!
This bounty is eligible for overlap submissions with other [Existing Project] and [All Project] bounties but is not eligible for overlap with [Fresh Code] bounties.
