GaiaNet is a decentralized computing infrastructure that empowers individuals and businesses to create, deploy, scale, and monetize their own AI services using proprietary data. Its mission is to unlock living knowledge systems, ensuring these AI services reflect the unique styles, values, knowledge, and expertise of their creators.
This track is perfect for participants interested in implementing their AI knowledge in a decentralized environment. It involves setting up AI agents and nodes.
1. Innovation (20%)
- Originality: Is the idea new or does it offer a fresh perspective on an existing solution?
- Creativity: How imaginative is the solution? Does it introduce unique concepts or approaches?
Build an AI agent that pushes the boundaries of creativity and defies conventional norms. Create an agent that breaks the mold—whether it’s through unexpected behavior, unconventional use of data, or a unique personality that surprises and engages users.
2. Technical Complexity (20%)
- Skill Level: How technically challenging is the project? Does it involve complex algorithms, intricate coding, or advanced technology?
- Implementation: How well is the project implemented? Is the code clean, efficient, and scalable?
This section looks into the deployment of AI agents and nodes.
3. Functionality (20%)
- Performance: Does the solution work as intended? Are the users happy with the end result?
- Usability: Is the solution easy to navigate? Is the user interface intuitive?
This section looks into the UI/UX of the AI agent deployed.
4. Impact (20%)
- Problem Solving: Does the project effectively address the problem it aims to solve?
- Social Impact: What potential does the solution have to make a positive difference in the real world?
Build something that answers your problem statement. Consider the number of people your solution will impact, the process it will simplifiy, etc.
5. Potential (20%)
- Practicality: Is the solution practical and feasible to implement in the real world?
- Scalability: Is the project scalable? Is it integrated with other partners in the ecosystem?
Optional: Build a plugin, integration, or feature that enhances the connectivity and extensibility of Gaia nodes and domains with our featured partners of this hackathon. This could involve developing new communication protocols, innovative data-sharing mechanisms, or extending the capabilities of nodes in novel ways that benefit the network as a whole. Consider how clusters of nodes or domain features can be leveraged to enhance the overall application.
Note: Do not worry if your AI agent is not integrated with others. It will be a bonus point if it does.

General Track
You can create a new project, iterate on an ongoing one, or revive and refresh that old side project you've been wanting to get back to.
That means you don't need to start from scratch! The only requirement is that you're building with Linea, made progress on your project in the current month, and you've posted about your project on social (and included a frog somewhere)!
This is a great opportunity to win some small prizes alongside your regular building, improve on past hackathon projects, and get exposure to the Linea team and community!
Literally, win cool prizes for just shipping
