Network Engineer (Riverbed WAN Optimization)

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with experience in WAN optimization, Riverbed technologies, and Cisco networking environments. The role involves designing, implementing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure to ensure optimal application performance, reliability, and security across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage Riverbed Steelhead appliances and Cisco routing/switching solutions to improve network performance and application acceleration.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, identify bottlenecks, and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve service reliability.
  • Manage network-related incidents, problems, and change requests using ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Perform routine maintenance activities and participate in on-call support rotations for critical incidents (P1/P2).
  • Develop and maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support business and operational requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in network engineering and WAN optimization.
  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and enterprise networking concepts.
  • Experience supporting production network environments and handling critical incidents.


Work Schedule & Setup

  • Work Setup: Hybrid
  • RTO Schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday (subject to change based on business needs)
  • Working Hours:
  • Opening Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Closing Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Work Days: Monday to Friday
  • Hours per Week: 45 hours
  • On-Call Support: 24/7 support for P1/P2 incidents
