JOB PURPOSE
The role will fulfill an essential and pivotal contribution in analysing business trends, inputs, data and subsequently generating insights and providing recommendations to support strategic business initiatives. The role will be expected to deliver exceptional business support analysis and strategic program delivery through data synthesis, business case development, and case presentations. This role will work in close collaboration with other advisors and individual contributors within our Chief of Operations office to meet the Group’s growth targets and aspirations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business Analysis: Assist in the identification, analysis, and implementation of strategic and business unit-specific projects within the Group. Develop successful working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders to elicit requirements.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and opportunities for the business. Present findings in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner for different stakeholders.
- Strategic Insights: Understand and interpret findings and insights and/or translate insights into data-driven recommendations for business strategies, improvement recommendations, and decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Business Partnering: Work closely with stakeholders and departments across the organisation to understand their business, process, and data needs and meet specific business objectives.
- Tools and Technology: Maintain knowledge of business tools and data analytics solutions and technologies and make recommendations that contribute towards improvements and efficiency. Proactively identify opportunities to improve business efficiency and performance.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Proven experience in business analysis, business analytics, and/or data analysis, preferably with 3-5 years of experience in a senior, subject matter expert, or managerial role.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, and a demonstrated capability to work with some ambiguity whilst delivering quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and analysis in a corporate, banking, and financial business setting; or equivalent.
- Demonstrate prior knowledge or experience working in business case development, cost benefit thinking, or financial modelling, or equivalent activities that displays business and financial acumen.
- Demonstrate any prior knowledge or experience working within time-bound projects, displaying an understanding of project processes, techniques, and the project way of working.
- Proficiency on business and data analysis tools, platforms, and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office particularly PowerPoint and Excel, SQL), as well as visualisation and automation software (e.g., PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Tableau); or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field: Accounting, Business, Statistics, Math, and/or equivalent substantial experience.
- IIBA/BABOK/PMBOK Certifications will be highly regarded.
