Position Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Writer to join our growing team at Aqwire. In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive and user-friendly documentation to build out a wiki for our previously undocumented product features. Your focus will be on providing how features work for both internal teams and end users, and a high-level overview on how these features work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to understand complex technical information, and translate it into clear, concise, and accessible content for most audiences.


Key Responsibilities:


· Documentation

Write clear, concise, and accurate documentation for new and existing features of our products. This will involve:

o Explaining how each feature works from a high-level

o Creating step-by-step instructions on how to use the features

o Breaking down complex processes into easy-to-understand content for both technical and non-technical users


· Product Understanding

o Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of product features, their technical architecture, and use cases.


· High-Level Descriptions

o Provide high-level overviews that explain the purpose and business value of the features, as well as any relevant technical background.


· Wiki Organization

o Structure and organize the wiki for ease of navigation and to ensure the documentation can be quickly found and understood. Maintain a consistent style guide and terminology throughout the documents.


· Collaboration and Feedback

o Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, customer support) to collect feedback and ensure the documentation meets the needs of all stakeholders.


Job Qualifications:


· Experience

o Proven experience as a technical writer, ideally in a FinTech or software development environment.

o Strong understanding of writing user guides or feature documentation for complex products.


· Technical Skills

o Ability to understand technical concepts quickly and explain them in simple terms.

o Familiarity with FinTech concepts (such as payments, transactions, security, compliance, etc.) is a plus.

o Familiarity with technical concepts (such as database, web application, validation, etc) is a plus.


· Communication Skills

o Exceptional written communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information in an easily understandable way.

o Experience writing documentation for a variety of audiences (e.g., developers, end users, product managers).


· Tool Proficiency

o Proficiency in documentation tools, such as:

o Markdown

o Notion

o GitHub

o Familiarity with version control systems and wiki software


· Attention to Detail

o Strong organizational skills, with an eye for detail and consistency in writing and formatting.


· Problem Solving

o Able to independently identify gaps in documentation and proactively seek clarification or additional resources.
