Our client, a pioneer in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Planning & Analysis Associate. This role will support in preparing financial models, structuring, pricing, and conducting in-depth financial analysis. The position plays a key role in ensuring risk-adjusted returns on projects related to greenfield development, brownfield acquisition, project financing, and equity co-investment syndication within the power and energy sector.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze financial models for power and energy-related projects.
  • Identify strategies to optimize economic attractiveness in greenfield development, brownfield acquisitions, project financing, and equity co-investment syndication.
  • Research government and utility incentives, policies, and industry trends impacting project development.
  • Assist in annual forecasting, bi-annual re-forecasting, and monthly outlook.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, management reports, and monthly financial reports, including business KPI reporting.
  • Ensure consistency in reporting and planning functions across regions.
  • Conduct long-term profit/loss forecasts, sensitivity analyses, simulations, and scenario planning.
  • Support capital budgeting processes and review new business proposals.
  • Participate in financial due diligence, contract reviews, and business development opportunities.
  • Engage in discussions with third parties and project finance lenders and contribute to project documentation such as EPC contracts, Loan Agreements, and Offtake Agreements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA license with a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Preferred experience in the energy or holding industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commercial outlook.
  • Prior experience with US GAAP is an advantage but not required.
