  • Design user interfaces for game menus, HUDs (heads-up displays), and other in-game elements with a focus on functionality and aesthetics.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize and refine the player journey.
  • Collaborate with game designers, developers, and artists to align UI/UX with gameplay and narrative goals.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate designs for optimal player experience.
  • Establish and maintain a design system, including style guides, patterns, and reusable components for consistent UI/UX across the game.
  • Ensure responsiveness and cross-platform compatibility, optimizing designs for desktop, mobile, and consoles.
  • Stay current with trends in game UI/UX and Web3 technology to bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the team.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide feedback on their work to maintain high design standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX designer, preferably in the gaming industry.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in game UI design, interaction design, and usability principles.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and their application in gaming environments.
  • Experience with prototyping tools like Protopie, InVision, or Marvel.
  • Familiarity with Unity, Unreal Engine, or other game engines is a strong plus.
  • Ability to balance creativity with technical constraints, ensuring designs are both innovative and feasible.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and receive constructive feedback effectively.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards to ensure inclusive designs.
