Role: Senior Bookkeeper (Onboarding)
Work Arrangement: Work from Home
Location: Any CS Branch - Ortigas / Makati / Bacolod / Cebu / Davao / Mabalacat / Angeles (Pampanga)
Schedule: Morning Shift
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Onboarding & Management
- Own end-to-end finance-related customer onboarding, including file review, issue identification, remediation, and customer communication.
- Partner with the Onboarding Project Manager and actively participate in onboarding meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
- Maintain proactive communication with customers throughout onboarding to track deliverables and manage expectations.
- Escalate risks, blockers, or customer delays early to the Onboarding Project Manager for timely resolution.
- Ensure the Visory platform is kept up to date and accurately reflects onboarding progress and status.
Software Setup & Configuration
- Create and configure Xero files, including building and optimising the chart of accounts.
- Set up Dext for new customers and provide clear setup instructions to support smooth adoption.
Technical Review & File Accuracy
- Review and correct existing Xero (or other accounting software) files to ensure they accurately reflect the business’s true financial position.
- Perform balance sheet rectifications, including resolving:
- Misallocated accrued income or expenses
- Incorrectly coded prepayments
- Optimise the chart of accounts and restructure profit and loss reporting to ensure accurate monthly cut-offs and proper matching of income and expenses.
- Review the work of others where required, ensuring all key reconciliations are completed and supported by appropriate documentation.
Process Documentation & Handover
- Document onboarding configurations, decisions, and workflows to Visory standards and ensure accurate mapping within the Visory platform.
- Contribute to onboarding handover packs to enable a seamless transition to operating teams.
- Support continuous improvement of onboarding processes as part of Visory’s broader knowledge and process capture initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping, with advanced knowledge of Xero (MYOB experience highly regarded).
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, including accrued income and expenses, prepayments, and customer
- Proven experience reviewing historical accounting data and performing technical corrections.
- Ability to work independently on complex files while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with professional services, multi-entity, or complex client structures is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical accounting matters to customers.
Non-Negotiable Skills & Requirements
- 4+ years’ Australian bookkeeping experience.
- Advanced experience in Xero.
- Xero Advisor / Pro Advisor Certification (nice to have).
