Responsibilities

Core Banking Programme Delivery (Critical Focus)

● Lead or manage end-to-end core banking system implementation or replacement projects within banking environments.

● Oversee project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution to go-live and post-implementation support.

● Work closely with core banking vendors and platforms such as Temenos Transact, Oracle Flexcube, Infosys Finacle, Silverlake SIBS, or similar systems.

● Manage integration across core banking, channels, and downstream systems. Project Management & PMO Governance

● Establish and manage project governance, reporting, RAID logs, and delivery tracking.

● Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies, with clear escalation and mitigation strategies.

● Coordinate cross-functional teams including business users, IT, vendors, and external stakeholders.

● Ensure adherence to project timelines, scope, and quality standards. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

● Engage and manage stakeholders across all levels, including senior management.

● Lead steering committee updates, workshops, and key project discussions.

● Manage vendor performance and ensure alignment with contractual and delivery expectations.

Strategy & Advisory

● Support requirements gathering and translate business needs into implementation plans.

● Provide advisory on core banking transformation, implementation approach, and best practices.

● Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across banking systems and processes.

Job Requirements

● Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related fields.

● Mandatory Experience:

○ Proven hands-on project management experience in core banking system implementation or replacement within a banking environment

● Experience with one or more core banking platforms such as:

○ Temenos Transact

○ Oracle Flexcube

○ Infosys Finacle

○ Silverlake SIBS (or equivalent core banking systems)

● Strong experience in:

○ End-to-end project delivery in banking technology programmes

○ Stakeholder and vendor management

○ Managing complex system integrations
