Jr. Systems and Network Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT or Systems Administration
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments, network administration, and cloud platforms
• Experience managing servers, web hosting, backups, disaster recovery, and IT security practices
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Bash is an advantage
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to support and explain technical concepts to users

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Execute routine network operations, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewalls, switches, and wireless networks (FortiGate, Ruckus, Cisco, TP-Link Omada).
• Monitor system and network health, respond to alerts, and resolve incidents to ensure service availability.
• Implement approved security controls such as MFA, access permissions, and endpoint/network hardening.
• Handle escalated technical issues from the service desk or junior engineers and provide timely resolution.
• Perform user onboarding/offboarding tasks, account updates, and access changes based on approved requests.
• Conduct regular system checks, patching, backups, and basic recovery activities.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation, configurations, and incident records.
• Support IT projects by executing assigned technical tasks and changes as directed by the Manager.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to junior engineers when needed.
