Job Summary:
The Finance & Accounting Manager oversees the company’s financial integrity, compliance, and performance. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, tax and statutory compliance, and supports management through financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end accounting operations: GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, inventory, and month-end/year-end close
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with PFRS
- Ensure full tax compliance: BIR filings (VAT, WHT, FT, ITR), tax reconciliations, and audits
- Manage statutory reporting and compliance with SEC, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BSP
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Strengthen internal controls, policies, and audit readiness
- Partner with operations and management on cost control, profitability analysis, and decision support
- Suggest and implement improvements (e.g., digitalization)
- Lead, coach, develop, and motivate subordinates to improve skills and share knowledge
- Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulators
Key Deliverables / KPIs:
- Timely and accurate monthly financial reports and quarterly consolidation reports
- Clean audit results and zero major compliance findings
- On-time tax and statutory filings with minimal penalties
- Budget adherence and improved cash flow visibility
- Process improvements and cost savings initiatives
- Manage collection of receivables and timely settlement of payables
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; CPA license is an advantage/preferred
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and audit processes
- Familiarity with PFRS, BIR regulations, and statutory compliance requirements
- Experience handling compliance with SEC, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BSP
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a results-driven mindset
