Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 09:00am - 06:00pm (EST)

NOTE: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION

Company Overview:

Sagan is an exclusive membership community for top executives, founders, and CEOs seeking to hire and maximize the impact of international talent. We bridge the gap between global talent and US-based businesses, connecting candidates from vibrant regions like Latin America, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Africa with leading American companies. Sagan provides a high-performance remote work environment, ensuring access to world-class opportunities for top-tier professionals.

About the Company:

Sagan represents a deeply vertically integrated direct-to-consumer (DTC) operator founded in late 2018. They specialize in health and wellness supplements and digital security software, running high-velocity sales funnels that process several thousand orders every single day. The technology underneath—the funnels, the platform, the tooling—is built entirely in-house, meaning nothing that matters is outsourced.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an AI Funnel & Growth Engineer to design, deploy, test, and continuously tune live offer funnels and e-commerce sites that take real orders 24/7. What makes this role unique is that you will do all of this alongside an advanced AI agent system that handles heavy lifting like code generation, deployments, data analysis, and monitoring. You will be the "human in the loop," directing the AI system, pushing frameworks further, and taking real ownership of a stack that is mostly automated and moves extremely fast. This position begins as a structured trial-to-permanent program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build funnels: Turn business requirements into offer funnels and e-commerce storefronts, then ship them to production.
  • Work with the agents: Direct the AI system to generate, refine, and deploy code—reviewing what it produces, catching what it misses, and pushing the frameworks further.
  • Coordinate the infrastructure: Run the cloud and full API surface, including domain purchases, DNS, Cloudflare, servers, email deliverability, and tracking platforms.
  • Test rigorously: Validate everything before it goes live: pixel-perfect QA, automated end-to-end browser tests, and payment flows.
  • Analyze numbers & manage fraud: Track performance, merchant-account health, and monitor affiliate traffic for suspicious sources, bounces, or chargebacks.

Qualifications:

  • Entry-Level Drive: Prior experience with the exact stack is not expected; what matters is exceptional learning speed, raw ability, and a habit of teaching yourself whatever the job demands.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A genuine foundation in programming and how the internet works—code, HTTP/APIs, DNS, and IP.
  • Real interest in AI: You want a job that lives deep inside building with AI agents, not one that uses AI on the side.
  • Full professional fluency to read, write, and speak English (required to communicate effectively with the global team).
  • Availability & Accountability: Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, 24/7 e-commerce environment where funnels don't stop taking orders at 5 PM, requiring a fast human response for out-of-hours emergencies.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with backend languages like Python, Node.js, or FastAPI.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG pipelines, or integrating the OpenAI/Anthropic APIs.
  • Prior exposure to high-velocity e-commerce, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) architecture, or payment gateway integrations (like Stripe).
