Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's local financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. This role partners closely with headquarters finance and local leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial management as the company scales its Philippine operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end closing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and group reporting requirements
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; provide financial insights to support business decision-making
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (BIR filings, withholding tax, VAT, etc.) and coordinate with external auditors/tax consultants
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions
• Oversee payroll-related financial processes in coordination with HR/C&B team (statutory contributions, tax remittances)
• Ensure compliance with SEC, BIR, and other relevant regulatory bodies for corporate filings
• Develop and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and procedures
• Support vendor/outsourcing cost analysis and contract financial review
• Liaise with HQ finance team on cross-border reporting, transfer pricing, and consolidation requirements
• Lead and develop the local finance team as headcount grows

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license preferred
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR compliance, and PFRS
• Experience in Fintech, lending, financial services, or BPO industry is a strong advantage
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel; experience with ERP systems a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-culturally with regional/HQ teams (Mandarin proficiency a plus, not required)
• High integrity and attention to detail, especially given the regulated nature of lending business
