Product Localization Specialist

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Product Localization Specialist to drive the localization of Toobit's products across global markets. In this role, you will be responsible for translating, adapting, and managing multilingual content across our website, mobile applications, product interfaces, help center, and marketing materials.
Beyond translation, you will own the end-to-end localization workflow, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, terminology consistency, and synchronized multilingual releases. Working closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Design, Engineering, and Compliance teams, you will help deliver a seamless and consistent experience for users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Product Translation & Localization
- Translate and localize content for Toobit's website, mobile applications, product interfaces, and internal management platforms from English and/or Chinese into target languages.
- Ensure translations accurately reflect the original intent while remaining culturally appropriate and natural for local audiences.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Design teams to deliver high-quality, consistent multilingual content.
- Lead the localization of product interfaces, documentation, help center articles, and user-facing communications, coordinating with translators and engineering teams to integrate language packages.
- Manage localization workflows using platforms such as Crowdin, Phrase, or Lokalise, including translation memory (TM) and terminology database (Termbase) maintenance.
- Document market-specific localization requirements and language variations while maintaining consistency across all supported languages.
- Coordinate multilingual product releases by working closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure new features, campaigns, announcements, and updates are launched simultaneously across all channels, including Web, Mobile Apps, Email, and other user touchpoints.
Localization Quality & Terminology Management
- Maintain and continuously improve translation memories and terminology databases to ensure consistency across cryptocurrency, trading, compliance, and financial terminology.
- Conduct regular linguistic quality assurance (LQA) reviews to identify and correct translation errors, outdated content, inconsistencies, and tone-of-voice issues.
- Oversee localization of UX elements, including date and time formats, number formats, currency symbols, and regulatory disclaimers.
- Collaborate with Product and Growth teams to support multilingual A/B testing initiatives that improve readability, usability, and user conversion.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with global Product, Content, Marketing, Engineering, and Compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate localization delivery.
- Continuously optimize localization workflows, quality standards, and operational processes.
- Work closely with Design and Engineering teams to ensure localized content is displayed correctly across all platforms and devices.
- Identify opportunities to improve localization efficiency through automation, tooling, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in translation or localization, preferably within fintech, cryptocurrency, SaaS, or digital products.
- Fluent English is mandatory, with English serving as the primary working language.
- Experience managing multilingual localization projects involving three or more languages.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to linguistic quality, tone, and cultural nuance.
- Hands-on experience with localization management platforms such as Crowdin, Phrase, Lokalise, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of Translation Memory (TM), Termbase management, localization workflows, and troubleshooting localization integrations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
