Senior Smart Contract Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to design, build, and deploy secure smart contracts on Ethereum and EVM-compatible networks. You will work on DeFi, NFT, and cross-chain projects, collaborating with our team to deliver reliable Web3 solutions.

This is a remote role available for either full-time or part-time (20+ hours/week) engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and deploy secure, efficient, and well-documented smart contracts on EVM chains (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum).

- Develop and maintain comprehensive test suites using Foundry or Hardhat to ensure the highest level of contract security and functionality.

- Conduct internal security reviews and audits, proactively identifying and mitigating potential attack vectors before features are built.

- Perform gas optimization and analysis to ensure cost-effective contract execution.

- Document architecture decisions, design patterns, and technical specifications for all developed solutions.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the Web3 ecosystem, including new EIPs, security best practices, and development tools.

Job Requirements

- 3+ years of professional experience shipping Solidity smart contracts to mainnet.

- Deep knowledge of EVM internals, storage, and gas mechanics.

- Extensive experience with major token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155) and account abstraction (ERC-4337).

- Proven experience with a modern development framework, such as Foundry or Hardhat.

- A security-first mindset, with a deep understanding of common smart contract vulnerabilities (e.g., reentrancy, integer overflow, access control issues).

- Demonstrable experience in at least two of the following areas: DeFi protocols (AMMs, lending), token standards, access control, or upgradeable contracts (proxies).

- Hands-on experience using Cursor IDE for development and debugging.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment.

Bonus Skills

- Experience with Rust or Go.

- Knowledge of Layer 2 scaling solutions and cross-chain messaging protocols.

- Familiarity with account abstraction (ERC-4337) and its applications.

- Experience with zero-knowledge proofs or privacy-preserving technologies.

Compensation & Benefits

- Competitive Pay: $40 - $60 USD/hour, negotiable, depending on experience and location.
