Blockchain Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled, experienced, and highly motivated Blockchain Developer to join our Web3 investment and blockchain development team at SBI Investment.

The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining blockchain-based applications, smart contracts, decentralized protocols, and Web3 infrastructure. The developer will work closely with research, investment, and business development teams to support blockchain-related projects and explore emerging technologies within the Web3 ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has strong programming skills, a solid understanding of blockchain architecture and decentralized systems, and hands-on experience developing smart contracts, blockchain applications, or Web3 infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain blockchain-based applications, protocols, and decentralized systems.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain smart contracts on blockchain networks.
• Research and evaluate emerging blockchain technologies, protocols, and development frameworks.
• Build and integrate decentralized applications (dApps) and Web3 solutions.
• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and blockchain-related infrastructure.
• Integrate blockchain networks, wallets, smart contracts, and third-party Web3 services.
• Conduct technical research and feasibility assessments for potential blockchain projects and investment opportunities.
• Analyze blockchain protocols, technical architectures, and development methodologies.
• Participate in the technical evaluation of Web3 startups, protocols, and blockchain infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with investment and research teams to assess the technical potential, scalability, and security of blockchain projects.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Conduct code reviews, write technical documentation, and maintain development standards.
• Implement security best practices for smart contracts, decentralized applications, and blockchain infrastructure.
• Perform testing, debugging, and optimization of blockchain applications and smart contracts.
• Monitor developments in blockchain technologies, consensus mechanisms, Layer 1 and Layer 2 ecosystems, and Web3 infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal technical, investment, research, and business development teams to support strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of technical prototypes, proof-of-concept solutions, and new blockchain products.

Requirements

• Professional experience in blockchain development, software engineering, smart contract development, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming skills in one or more relevant languages, such as Solidity, Rust, Go, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of blockchain architecture, distributed systems, consensus mechanisms, and decentralized technologies.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying smart contracts or blockchain-based applications.
• Familiarity with blockchain networks such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Polygon, or other Layer 1 and Layer 2 ecosystems.
• Understanding of Web3 protocols, decentralized applications (dApps), wallets, and blockchain integrations.
• Experience working with blockchain development tools, SDKs, APIs, and testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of smart contract security principles, common vulnerabilities, and secure development practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, optimize code, and improve system performance.
• Understanding of cryptographic concepts, digital signatures, and blockchain transaction mechanisms.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, protocol specifications, and open-source codebases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with international and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing smart contracts using Solidity, Rust, or other blockchain-specific programming languages.
• Experience with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible networks and smart contract standards such as ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155.
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), lending platforms, staking, and liquidity protocols.
• Experience working with development frameworks such as Foundry, Hardhat, Truffle, Anchor, or similar tools.
• Experience with blockchain infrastructure, nodes, RPC services, indexing solutions, and blockchain data providers.
• Knowledge of Layer 1, Layer 2, rollups, cross-chain protocols, and blockchain interoperability solutions.
• Experience developing or integrating DeFi, NFT, GameFi, or other Web3 applications.
• Familiarity with blockchain security audits, smart contract testing, and vulnerability analysis.
• Experience contributing to open-source blockchain projects or maintaining public GitHub repositories.
• Experience building blockchain prototypes, proof-of-concept solutions, or production-ready decentralized applications.
• Familiarity with on-chain analytics, blockchain explorers, and Web3 development tools.
• Understanding of tokenomics, token standards, and token-related technical mechanisms.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools and modern software engineering workflows.
• Experience working with international teams and cross-border blockchain projects.
• Additional language skills, especially Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, will be an advantage.
