Senior Software Developer

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's or College degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Other educational backgrounds are welcome with extensive relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Java Developer, with expertise in application analysis and troubleshooting.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8 & 17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security, including CSRF.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and separation of concerns.
• Ability to explain and implement end-to-end application flows, beyond individual Model and Controller layers.
• Clear understanding of Monolithic and Microservices architectures, including their differences.
• Strong senior-level technical competency, with the ability to explain technical concepts confidently.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and CSS fundamentals.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, coding, debugging, and testing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test, and maintain Java-based applications using established coding standards and best practices.
• Implement and explain end-to-end application flows, ensuring the integration of different application layers.
• Analyze business processes and change requests to assess feasibility, dependencies, and implementation requirements.
• Translate user requirements into technical specifications and efficient, reliable code.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and provide technical support to end users.
• Ensure high standards of application design, code quality, and technical documentation.
• Communicate project updates and coordinate with customers and project teams.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives, research and development, and innovative technical solutions.
• Support knowledge transfer, team collaboration, and technical training.
• Maintain service monitoring records, prepare reports, and comply with organizational standards.

• Programming: Java 8 & 17, C#, .NET, Full-Stack Development, and API Integration
• Frameworks & Technologies: REST API, Spring Boot, Legacy Spring Framework, JSF/JSP, Spring MVC, and Spring Security
• Database: MySQL
• Application Server: Tomcat 10.1
• Build Tools: Maven and Ant
• Tools & Methodologies: Azure DevOps, TFS, Agile Scrum, and Git Flow
• Architecture: Monolithic and Microservices

Shift: Mid-Shift — 3:00 PM–12:00 AM or 2:00 PM–11:00 PM

Flexibility to work extended hours or different shifts may be required depending on project needs. Occasional travel to other sites may also be necessary.
