ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Analyst to join our team in Davao. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing accounting data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that financial transactions are properly documented and recorded in accordance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, accounting reports, and supporting schedules.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions and supporting documents.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies in financial records.
• Monitor expenses, budgets, and financial variances.
• Ensure proper filing and organization of accounting documents and records.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing the necessary financial documents and reports.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and applicable tax regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding financial transactions, billing, payments, and account discrepancies.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
• Preferably with 1-3 yrs experience in accounting, financial analysis, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records.
• Good organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Willing to work in the Banaybanay, Davao area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Philippine tax compliance and BIR documentation.
• Experience using an ERP system or computerized accounting software.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required, unless specified by the company.
